Today, I went to the Eumundi Market and the beach!
After a 30-minute bus ride, we arrived at the Eumundi Market. There were so many stalls to see, so my friends and I decided to walk to see them all. There weren’t just clothing and accessory stalls, but also plenty of food stalls, which made it even more exciting.
The first thing we found was a cute accessory stall. It was run by two sisters, and they told us that all the accessories were handmade. Even the jars for the accessories were beautiful, so my friends and I decided to buy the same jewelry in different colors. I fell in love with a pink bracelet and the jar when I first saw them. The jar had a piece of wood with a hand-drawn picture imported from Poland, and the sisters told me there was only one of a kind. They also said my outfit was cute, which made me really happy. They were such lovely people.
After that, we bought donuts and sweets from the market and enjoyed eating them. Towards the end, I bought a bracelet as a souvenir for my family and the same necklace as my friends. We almost ran late for the meeting point, so we had to hurry.
Next, we took the bus for about 20 minutes to Noosa Beach. First, we had lunch at a place called Betty’s Burgers. The burger was bigger than the ones in Japan, and I got full right away. The tables were big, so we could all chat and eat together, which was a lot of fun.
After lunch, we went to the beach. At first, I didn’t want to get wet, so I wasn’t planning to go into the water, but since everyone else did, I joined in too. I drew pictures in the sand, had my photo taken from behind, and really enjoyed myself. The seawater was cold and refreshing, so I was glad I went in. Many people got their pants wet, which was uncomfortable for them, but it was still so much fun.
Afterwards, we took the bus back to school and then went home with our host family. At home, I worked on my homework, which was to ask my host family some questions. It is due on Thursday, so I needed to do it today. For dinner, we ordered pizza because my host mother wasn’t feeling well. I’m a bit worried about her. I hope she gets better soon.
Today was the most fun I’ve had since coming to Australia. I played so much, but I’m really tired. Since I have school tomorrow, I’m going to rest well and do my best again!

My morning started with a wonderful breakfast that my host mother had made. It was a bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, and avocado on it. It was really delicious. I then went to the Eumundi Market by bus.
After a short ride, I got off the bus and was so impressed. I had seen a video about the Eumundi Market before, so I was thinking that it would be just like it. But it was not! The Eumundi Market was even more interesting when I actually went there. I ate a nice doughnut there and bought a beautiful necklace and bracelet with my friends.
Soon after, we got on the bus again to go to Betty’s Burgers for lunch. It was awesome! We all ate together and chatted a lot. After that, we went to Noosa Beach. At first, I thought that it might be too cold to play in the water, but when I went in, it felt so cool and nice. The scenery was amazing too. The sea was so clear and beautiful. I would like to go there again.
After I went back home, I played table tennis and ate dinner with my host family in the garden. It was exciting because I can’t experience such things back in Japan. After that, we even watched a movie together and ate popcorn! It was so fun. I’m really glad that I can still stay with this family for more than a week.
I hope I can have a wonderful day like today for the rest of my days in Australia.
