 Today I interviewed my classmates about yesterday during the English lesson in the morning. They all seemed to enjoy yesterday and said there was nothing they didn't like. We also listened to the clues, and we did the guesswork about which building on the distributed map it was.






 After that, at morning tea time, I finally got to meet my buddy, who had been absent until now. I was surprised that his friends were the ones we gave the presentation to, and I had a fun time chatting with them.


 In the second half of my English lesson, we had a spelling test of the words from the reading about the Eumundi Markets that we did the day before yesterday. I learned a way of giving directions and did a writing task. While we were in class, a couple of people took turns trying on NCC uniforms, including me.






 After eating my lunch, my buddy and I watched a robot dog and static electricity experiments, and then went straight to the afternoon class. It was a physics and math class; there was nothing special to do, so I just observed what they were doing.

 After school, my host family took me for a short stroll around the town called Palmwoods, where my roommate and I are staying for these two weeks. Then, I fell asleep right after I returned home, and I didn't even wake up to eat dinner. It was 3 a.m. when I woke up, but I think I slept well, and I’m fine, so I would like to go to school again tomorrow!

 In the morning, I took a class about Aboriginal people and then did some dot painting.










 Seven of us, including my friend, had lunch together.

 In the afternoon, I joined my buddy's math and PE classes. Since it was a Year 8 class, they were learning about proportional relationships in math.

 After that, I went to Sunshine Plaza with my host family, and they showed me around. We bought and ate hamburgers and drank bubble tea there. After dinner, we took some photos outside with the night view and my host family. I hope tomorrow will be a good day too.

 Last night, I took off from Narita for Brisbane. To be honest, I was a bit anxious when I first decided to go to Australia. But as I got closer, my anxiety turned into anticipation, and by the time I boarded the plane, I was filled with excitement. I was surprised to find a beef bowl served on the plane. When I arrived in Brisbane, an Australian tour guide was waiting for me, which made me feel a little relieved. I realized that I had actually come to Australia. After visiting the observatory overlooking Brisbane and the University of Queensland, we had some free time. I had an acai bowl and gelato there. I was surprised that the prices were higher than in Japan. I also went to a convenience store and bought some snacks recommended by the clerk. They were very tasty. Then I met my host family. Today, I went to school in the morning and attended an ESL class.  The theme of the lesson was Japanese and Australian food.  We also talked in English about what we did over the weekend and played a game where we each said something we bought while shopping and continued in turn.  I could tell that everyone had an enjoyable weekend, and I felt that we spoke up more than last week and were making progress. During the lesson, I also tried speaking with the teacher.  Sometimes my pronunciation did not come across well, but when I was understood, I was very happy and it motivated me to try harder. We also decorated cookies with icing and made koala faces using marshmallows, chocolate, and gummies.  Everyone’s mouths turned blue from the icing, which was very funny, and the cookies were delicious too.
