Tuesday August 12th by R.U. and C.K.

On August 12, 2025, we attended classes taught by local teachers from the first period to the fifth period. During the third period, we went to the school gymnasium to play cricket.

At first, I struggled to hit the ball properly, but as I practiced more and more, I gradually got better at hitting the ball with the bat, and when I played cricket in front of everyone, I was able to hit a home run!

After that, I had lunch with my buddy, and it was finally time for the presentation I had been preparing since before my study abroad.

After about an hour of rehearsal, I went on stage and gave a presentation about the culture of Japanese origami.

I often had to improvise to explain how to fold origami to the local children, which was quite difficult, but everyone seemed to enjoy it with a smile on their faces, so I was very happy.

Today is the second day in Australia.

In the morning, we took two lessons.

In the first class, we studied about the dangers of the sea. We watched a movie that introduced lifesavers. This story taught us the importance of life.

In the second class, we studied about American diners. We wrote a description that introduced them, and a few of us announced it in front of everyone.

In the middle of the day, we played cricket and prepared our presentation. Cricket is a British sport. We practiced this with an NCC teacher. In preparation for the presentation, I set up and read the previous one.

In the afternoon, we gave a presentation. We interacted with local students who are going to junior high school. Some of our presentations included explanations, folding origami, and experiencing Japanese toys. We had a lot of good experiences.
